A female passenger has been ripped online after filming herself brushing her hair in business class and then shaming a friend for causing her to smell bad.
The original Instagram clip of the incident has disappeared, but has been re-uploaded to the @blackvoyageurs page, where it is currently being re-uploaded.
“I’m in business class minding my own business while my aunt gives me nasty looks,” the user, who goes by @adeola_fm, wrote in the caption.
The clip shows the influencer, who boasts over 170,000 Instagram followers, brushing and styling her luscious locks in the first class cabin as her blonde pal looks on in disgust.
While the video was shared to gain sympathy and validation, commenters did not take too kindly to the content creator treating the plane like a dust room at 30,000 feet.
“You don’t wash your wig in public, obviously in tight spaces with food out, it’s gross… literally no,” one criticized.
Another wrote: “All this washing your hair in public is the problem.”
“It’s okay to wash your hair, but preferably in the toilet,” said a third. “Hair that is combed or combed has to go somewhere, so why not in the trash.”
“She’s brushing her hair in a tight space where people are about to eat, so someone would have been staring down at her,” another critic charged. “Do it in the bathroom next time… it’s sticky!”
Others did not appreciate the Instagrammer’s offer of sympathy.
“She was minding her own business while you put your camera on, started washing your hair in a small space where other people are eating, you’re not at home in your bedroom!” rested one. “You may be in ‘business class’ but your actions show you have no class.”
Unfortunately, the plane has become a free wall when it comes to personal hygiene and grooming routines, which have included clipping nails, removing shoes and socks, and even changing diapers.
In 2022, a plane passenger called another test that painted her nails in flight, but she refused to stop her nail polish in mid-air.
