Parents are desperate for their children to receive Butter Sleep at night.

A new trend in Tiktok has revealed a new and unusual method that parents are using to make their children sleep: feeding them butter.

The exhausted parents are giving their little ones a tablespoon of butter before sitting for the night, and some claim it helps children sleep at night.

The trend began with mothers in the SH.BA enjoying their “real” butter and spread to the United Kingdom and New Zealand, allowing those who are suspected of getting a full eight hours.

Although some parents swear by this so-called hack, experts have said that it may not make a difference and may even do more harm than good.

A mother in Tiktok has been documenting her venture in the butter trend and sharing results with her followers.

“So we will try the butter trend, where you give your child a tablespoon of butter and apparently work magic and they sleep all night,” the user @.Milliellis said in a video.

Millie claimed her baby Ivy was sleeping all night with the exception of one food and once she woke up by noisy neighbors.

At night two, Millie shared that Ivy was sleeping longer in the middle of the periods where she woke up, but she was not sure if she was second for butter or because the baby was redundant from day.

A new Zealand mother also tired the trend, indicating that her 15 -month -old baby had never slept at night, and she was ready to try anything.

“What should I miss?” Mom Paige Balloch said in the video.

In a video, Balloch showed that the trend did not work for her baby. She put the baby to sleep around 7pm, and shortly after 8am, she had already woken up three times.

But experts claim that your baby’s butter food is “absolutely not” the best way to make them sleep at night.

Charlotte Stirling-reed, a major nutritionist for children, told The Independent that social media is “widespread with disinformation” and that butter, which is rich in salt and saturated fat, is not recommended for infants.

“Moreover, the texture and slide of butter can pose a strangled risk to babies that are still developing their dining skills,” she warned.

“Including butter in cooking or spreading a thin layer in toast is perfectly finally. However, offering large pieces of butter directly from a spoon is not advisable. “

She also noted that it is normal for babies to wake up at night.

According to the NHS, “newborn babies unchangedly wake up constantly at night for the first months, and restless nights can be very difficult to cope with.”

“All babies change their sleep patterns. Be willing to change routines as your baby grows and enters different stages. And remember, growth tracks, teeth and diseases can all affect how your baby sleeps.
